Lantoto National Park is a protected area in southwestern South Sudan on the border with the Democratic Republi of Congo. It is a protected area in Central Equatoria, South Sudan. The park has an area of 760 kilometers squared and is predominantly woodland, forest and open glades. The highest and the most prominent mountain is Jabal Mbang i. The vegetation of the park supports a huge population of elephants, Buffaloes, Baboon, Antelope and Ostrich. Lantoto has a number of bird speciesone can watch. Birdwatchers are in for a treat, too, because they might chance upon black-chested snake eagles and Ruppell's vultures in the area.
