Kibale forest national park is among the three best popular spots to film the chimpanzees in Uganda, situated in the western part of Uganda. To anyone who intends to film chimps in Kibale Forest National park, they must obtain a filming permit from Uganda wildlife authority, secure media cards or passes from Uganda media council. Kibale forest national park has different habituated chimpanzee groups that can be fully used in documentary shooting and filming uses. Kibale forest national park has over 12 primate species that can pass your way while on your filming exercise. Before filming starts, film crews must enter a contract with Uganda wildlife authority to be allowed to film the chimps. To process a film permit, it takes 4 to 5 working days if all the paperwork is sent to Uganda wildlife authority.
The filming crews will be required to write an official letter to the executive director at the Uganda wildlife authority informing him about whom you are, why and when you want to film the Kibale forest chimpanzees, and the details of all the crew members with the passport details.
